The Business Aircraft Considerations

August 1, 2017 • Kevin Seymore

If you are planning on buying an aircraft for your business to take off, then you should not do it as a spur of the moment decision. It should be done with a lot of consideration and after a lot of thought has been put into it. Because there are many things that you have to know about before you can make a decision. The biggest decision you have to make is that, if you are going to buy the aircraft in one go, if you are going to acquire it through the lease payment method or if you are going to simply rent it out as a trial before you make a full time commitment. These are some of the major things you have to consider. Plus you also have to think if you are going to want to have a brand new plane or if you want to think about going for a second hand one.

Whether to buy or rent?

There is an old saying that keeps floating around in the airline industry that if you are considering acquiring something that flies then you should definitely rent it. This means that you are much better off getting the turboprop aircraft for sale on rent rather than making a onetime payment and buying it. Because this has been the trend that may companies and businesses have been following over the years. They have been in the practice of acquiring their airplanes or aircrafts as a result of operating leases which actually means that they are renting out the planes. This is done for a period of a few years and the leasing company will bear the slump in the price of the aircraft that occurs at the end of the rent period.

And airlines and businesses are increasingly turning to the renting of a used aircraft, when they are considering adding a new aircraft to their already existing fleet, as long as the age of the plane is less than 20 years for it to be considered a financially profitable deal. And this type of leasing has been profitable to both parties. The party that owns the asset as well as the party that operates the asset. And there is also a lot of flexibility involved with these agreements making it the ideal deal for both parties involved. That’s is why people are of the opinion that it is less risky to rent an aircraft than to buy it. And if you are doing this for the first time then it would be wise to follow the advice of the experts.
